I have to agree on the detail - wow..
You are right the environment is a but dated - but perfect for a game like this IMHO. Worth every penny, I'm still struggling flying this thing - but getting there - and more importantly - having great fun in the process..

OK - I should say that the flight experience is great, and is especially fluid utilising TrackIR. It is great fun flying below tree level to avoid the missiles, but this is where I have the issue with the resolution of the ground objects.
So far, I have just been using the cannon for close-in fighting and, given the huge increase in modern PC power I would have expected a much more "real" environment, rather than the low resolution "cut-outs" provided.

I just say: WOW! An amazing amount of detail in the aircraft's systems! You really need the manuals and the training lessons are very useful as well. If you wanna fly the beast, it's a big advantage if you already have some chopper experience in some other sims or perhaps even in real live. I just love to fly around with it.
About the graphics I have to say, that wilevs' point is perhaps a little bit too hard, but it's not to compare with a state-of-the-art-shooter-game, but in my opinion, this is not necessery for this type of simulation and if you take this all together you have to say that it's totally worth the 50$!!
good job!

ps: rumours say, that there are coming more aircrafts for this game in same details (A-10 and Apache should be the next two!)

Pretty disapointing graphics - looks a lot like a warmed-up 10 year old sim. Not multi-core either, though this can be set via task manager with noticable improvement. Works well with TrackIR.
Lots to learn, so time will tell - but select instant action, park on a hill and have a picnic and, without firing a shot, you will be rewarded with Mission Success!!!
Just hope the main action is going to be worth the effort.

I guess I was lucky, I was able to download the two files.
A really nice model and I love the lighting model - the rotating beacon really does rotate. The Cockpit wow!! I would say that using TrackIr is a must - And it's difficult to fly, seems like the way something like this should handle (as I would know anyway..).
Thanks for the heads up - Now I'm going to read the 300+ page manual, so I may have a chance learning how to really fly this beast..

Indeed :-0)

A tip: I've been trying to download the files for the past 24 hours... no luck.. download crashed at 93% a few times.
Now using a download manager and that seems to help...... so better get one installed before buying it!
