DC Designs – Concorde MSFS Incoming Update and Projects for 2025

DC Designs recently shared major updates on their Concorde and other aircraft projects in response to Microsoft’s rule changes in MSFS2024, which now allow static weapons to appear on aircraft. However, due to code differences between MSFS2020 and MSFS2024—particularly around payload display and an EFB tablet system—DC Designs must delay adding these features until Microsoft permits it. They are in contact with MSFS developers and have decided to hold back weapon visibility for now to avoid display issues.

The team is prioritizing a final update to Concorde ahead of MSFS2024’s release to ensure a seamless transition for users upgrading to the new simulator. Due to time constraints, some enhancements, like the CIVA INS system, will not make it into this update. The deadline for this update is set for this week. Alongside Concorde, updates for other DC Designs aircraft, including custom sounds for the SU-27 and high-resolution normal maps for the F-16s, are also expected.

Looking ahead to 2025, DC Designs plans to release two aircraft. One, the P-61B Black Widow, has now entered full production, while the second is a popular jet fighter that will remain undisclosed until closer to its launch. The team will spend early 2025 getting familiar with MSFS2024’s new capabilities and preparing future updates for their aircraft within the new system.
