X-Plane 12.1.4 Beta 2

Building on the previous beta, X-Plane 12.1.4 Beta 2 delivers further refinements and fixes to enhance the simulation experience. This update focuses primarily on addressing issues found in the initial beta release and improving overall stability. Users should continue to report any encountered issues through the official bug reporter.

Key Fixes and Enhancements:

Beta 2 tackles several issues, including a fix for jittery chase cameras during replays. Also, a correction for RMI errors where the NAV1 pointer would align with the NAV2 pointer, and a fix for the simulation not starting paused when the option was selected. Numerous flight lesson issues have been resolved, including fixes for the Evolution Intro, Evolution Cross Country, and Cirrus Landing lessons. Additionally, the Web API’s command list endpoint and the XPLMGetLanguage() SDK function have been corrected. DSF files for the Salzburg area have also been included in the demo installation. New data refs have been added to report the status of the new G-loaded and hand-held camera effects.

Reminder of Key Features from Beta 1:

This beta builds upon the new features introduced in the initial 12.1.4 beta, including: new flight lessons for the Cirrus SR-22 and Lancair Evolution, a physics-based camera system, enhanced scenery for Salzburg and a new custom Barra Airport, a search and rescue function for the Garmin G1000, expanded library objects, updated Gateway Airports, and a new safe mode for troubleshooting plugin issues.

This beta release demonstrates Laminar Research’s continued dedication to perfecting X-Plane 12. User feedback is crucial during this phase, so beta testers are encouraged to report any issues to help refine the final release.
