//42 Reveals What to Expect from ChasePlane for MSFS

Parallel 42 has officially announced ChasePlane, a powerful and versatile camera system for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Originally launched in 2016 for FSX, ChasePlane quickly became a favorite among virtual pilots, offering an intuitive interface and advanced camera customization options. Now, it’s making a comeback to enhance the user experience in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

Key Features of ChasePlane:

  • Custom Views: Easily create and import camera presets from the global community or your favorite content creators.
  • Camera Modes: Seamlessly switch between cockpit, external, and world cameras.
  • Cinematics Mode: With a single click, activate a cinematic camera for stunning in-game videos.
  • Realistic Camera Motion: Experience dynamic camera movement that realistically responds to aircraft behavior and weather conditions.

ChasePlane will be available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, while a separate version is in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Due to significant differences in the platforms, a single unified version isn’t possible, meaning each simulator will have its own optimized edition.

The ChasePlane release for MSFS 2020 is expected first, followed by the 2024 version, which will be available for free for a limited time to existing users of the 2020 edition.

Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, an Xbox version is not planned.

While no official release date has been confirmed, the developers assure that ChasePlane is in the final testing phase and will be available soon.
