DC Designs shared a brief update on the SU-27 Flanker for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The aircraft now features a custom sound pack by Sim Acoustics, including the authentic Russian cockpit voice “Rita” with warning messages, accompanied by translations in the manual. The update also adds multiplayer-visible weapons and lighting effects to enhance the shared flight experience, with the rollout expected next week on MSFS2020, and later on MSFS2024.
The multiplayer improvements will gradually be applied to DC Designs’ other military jets over the coming weeks, alongside various bug fixes and additional enhancements. While these updates may not seem groundbreaking individually, they significantly enhance realism and immersion for those flying in military groups or participating in busy airfield operations online.
Additionally, the P-61B Black Widow project is progressing, with cockpit texturing underway. Once the cockpit is installed, development will continue toward a tentative release by the end of Q2 2024, marking a significant milestone in the aircraft’s production timeline.
