IndiaFoxtEcho has released version 1.1.9 of their F-14 Tomcat for Microsoft Flight Simulator, addressing several minor compatibility issues with MSFS2024. The update includes fixes to the TCS imagery display and a small animation glitch in the master test knob, along with improvements to the Jester AI menu, such as corrected typos and updated self-illumination logic. The update on Microsoft’s Marketplace servers, availability may be delayed.
In addition to the patch, the developer warns of a serious carrier-related bug affecting MSFS2024 Sim Update 2 and Sim Update 3 Beta. When spawning on a launch catapult position, the aircraft’s landing gear may retract immediately, resulting in a crash. This issue affects both the F-14 and F-35 across several carriers (Forrestal, Nimitz, Ford-class, and more). As this is a core simulator bug, IndiaFoxtEcho has reported it to Microsoft but cannot provide a fix themselves. For now, they advise users to spawn only at cold-and-dark parking positions on carriers in MSFS2024.
