SimWorks Studios has announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated Airvan for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The aircraft is set to launch on the MSFS Marketplace on Thursday, June 26th, with a release on their own website scheduled for late July. Users who purchase the FS2020 version will receive the FS2024-native version for free at the end of July. The Marketplace release is prioritized by the developers group due to compatibility with the simulator’s career mode, which currently only supports aircraft purchased through that platform. The biggest disadvantage for users in this case compared to stores like SIMMARKET is the big delays in getting future updates, and the product price is fluctuable according to your country location, so you might pay it more expensive than other people for no reason. SimWorks Studios is also in discussions with Microsoft/Asobo to explore solutions for offering this feature to non-Marketplace customers or adjusting pricing accordingly.

In parallel with the virtual release, the real-world GippsAero Airvan is resuming production, and SimWorks Studios congratulates GippsAero Pty Ltd on this achievement. The team expresses excitement as they near the end of the Airvan’s development cycle and looks forward to community feedback. A release on third-party stores is also expected around the end of July.
