IndiaFoxtEcho has shared important updates regarding their aircraft lineup and compatibility between MSFS2020 and the upcoming MSFS2024.
While the Tornado has already received several updates at SIMMARKET to ensure the MSFS24 compatibility, now reaching version 1.0.8, users on the MSFS2024 in-game Marketplace may have noticed it’s still showing as version 1.0.5. According to the developer, this delay was due to a technical issue on Microsoft’s end during the conversion process for the new sim version. The issue has now been resolved, and an updated version should be appearing soon on the MSFS2024 Marketplace.
IndiaFoxtEcho also addressed the frequent questions about simulator compatibility. Their current development efforts continue to rely on the MSFS2020 SDK, ensuring backward compatibility while also working smoothly in MSFS2024.
The team confirmed that several key projects—Eurofighter Typhoon, F-16, and TA-4J—remain native MSFS2020 aircraft, with ongoing support planned. With the MSFS2020 user base still larger for now, the studio reassures users that support for MSFS2020 is not ending any time soon.
More updates are expected as the MSFS2024 ecosystem matures.
