A2A Simulations – Aerostar 600 MSFS Preview

A2A Simulations has just shared a fresh batch of work-in-progress screenshots from ongoing test flights in their upcoming Aerostar 600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Known for their deep system modeling and Accu-Sim realism, A2A looks set to deliver another richly detailed general aviation aircraft—this time in the form of the sleek, high-performance Aerostar 600 twin.

The aircraft, originally designed by Ted R. Smith (of Aero Commander and Douglas fame), stands out with its mid-wing layout, aft-mounted engines, and a unique cockpit view unobstructed by engine nacelles. Designed to fly “low and not slow,” the Aerostar cruises comfortably at around 200 knots TAS at moderate power settings, and thanks to its large roof windows, it offers superb visibility—ideal for scenic VFR flying in MSFS.

A2A’s Aerostar comes equipped with a custom-simulated Century IV autopilot, fully featured digital engine monitors (JPI EDM 790 and 760), and a next-gen native MSFS2024 EFB tablet, which integrates seamlessly with 3rd party apps like Navigraph, SimBrief, and more. GPS support is wide-ranging, with compatibility for PMS GTN750, TDS GTN750Xi, and the freeware KLN90B.

While still under development, these preview images hint at a high-fidelity, immersive aircraft designed for both casual simmers and hardcore GA enthusiasts.

A2A Simulations has officially announced that the Accu-Sim Aerostar 600 will launch in early access this July. After an extended development period influenced by both business and personal challenges, the project is now in its late beta stage—with most systems already finalized. The early access release will allow simmers to fly the aircraft ahead of final completion and participate in the final phase of testing and refinement. A2A confirms that a detailed development roadmap will be shared shortly after launch, outlining the remaining features and updates planned for the coming months.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Aerostar 600 approaches final release! View the preview images and follow A2A at their official forum.
