Deadstick Dev Update: Fog Flying and Hand Cranking in Latest June Progress Report

The team behind Deadstick – Bush Flight Simulator has just published their June Development Update on Steam, offering a fresh look at what’s in store for virtual bush pilots.

Among the highlights, the latest development milestone introduces a new reward system based on cargo type and the risk level of the delivery conditions. Deliveries flown in challenging weather will yield higher payouts, adding a new layer of strategy to your missions. The aircraft themselves are also getting more attention—individual components now track damage and durability, bringing more realism and maintenance considerations to your flights.

Passive missions are now being structured around key world landmarks, giving players more opportunities to explore and interact with the environment.

A major visual and gameplay addition previewed this month is the dense fog simulation—making low-visibility bush flying even more intense. In true survival style, players will also need to hand crank their aircraft after certain failures, adding immersion and challenge to those tough delivery jobs.

Public playtest sign-ups are now over 3,500 and still open. Interested players are encouraged to visit the Deadstick Steam page and click “Request Access” to join the future playtest phase.

In addition to the Steam updates, the developers continue to post regular video previews on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube—be sure to follow their channels for more behind-the-scenes looks and in-game footage.

As always, current media shared is work-in-progress. Stay tuned for more as Deadstick gears up for its long-awaited release!
