Just Flight has just shared a comprehensive new development update for their ambitious A300B4 Professional project for Microsoft Flight Simulator, offering insight into the immense detail going into this classic wide-body jetliner.
While still some way from release, the A300B4 Professional is progressing steadily across all fronts, and Just Flight has pulled back the curtain on everything from cockpit systems to exterior details:
Cockpit & Systems:
The cockpit, modeled on the A300B4-203 F-WUAB preserved at Aeroscopia Museum in Toulouse, is now nearly complete — authentically aged and packed with configurable avionics options, including INS, UNS-1 FMS, and TCAS VSI.
A major milestone has been reached with the full integration of systems code into MSFS. This includes accurate modeling of all core systems like hydraulics, electrics, bleed air, APU, flight controls, and engines — down to minute variances in individual fuel pump pressures. Autopilot and INS development are currently underway.
Just Flight proudly reports nearly 2000 switches, knobs, and annunciator lights have now been animated and programmed — a huge feat reflecting the mechanical depth of this aircraft.
Passenger Cabin:
The 1980s-style passenger cabin — featuring over 200 seats — is nearly complete, evoking the atmosphere of its era (minus the smoke!). A dedicated update on the cabin is expected soon.
Exterior Model:
The transition from the original P3D version to MSFS has led to a complete overhaul of the exterior model. Just Flight’s team revisited the real aircraft to correct every panel line, screw, and weathered decal — resulting in a level of detail that even the most meticulous “rivet counters” will admire. The model is now 95% complete, with wing flex and a second engine variant in final stages.
MSFS 2020 & 2024 Compatibility:
Development remains focused on MSFS 2020 for now, but Just Flight confirms future support for MSFS 2024 once more tools and stability become available.
This is Just Flight’s most complex aircraft to date, and it’s clear that a high-fidelity classic airliner is taking shape — both visually and systems-wise. The latest screenshots and insights give a real sense of scale and authenticity. A true vintage jet experience is on its way to Microsoft Flight Simulator!
Stay tuned for more A300 updates in the coming months as Just Flight continues to bring this wide-body legend to life.
