A new maintenance update has been made available for LIRF Rome Fiumicino V2 by MK Studios in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, refining ground detail, lighting, and airport infrastructure to further enhance day and night operations at Italy’s busiest hub.
Version 2.0.1 focuses on visual accuracy and surface alignment. Taxiway markings have been corrected for improved ground navigation, while a new long jetway variant has been added to better match real-world gate configurations. Night operations benefit from improved lighting, enhancing apron visibility and terminal ambiance after sunset.
The update also introduces several MSFS 2024–specific refinements. Terrain issues have been addressed to ensure smoother integration with the surrounding area, and ground dirt textures have been adjusted to better reflect wear and operational realism across the airfield.
