AzurPoly Preview of Rafale for MSFS in Early Walkaround with Official License from Dassault

AzurPoly has released the first early preview of its upcoming Rafale for Microsoft Flight Simulator, offering a detailed walkaround of the iconic French multirole fighter jet.

Officially licensed by Dassault Aviation and developed by AzurPoly in cooperation with JFEXP, this project aims to bring one of the most advanced 4.5-generation combat aircraft into the civilian simulation environment with high visual and technical fidelity.

Exterior and Cockpit Detail on Display

The preview video focuses primarily on the aircraft’s visual development. Viewers are taken around the exterior structure, highlighting surface modeling, panel lines, materials, and reflections. The delta wing profile and canard configuration are faithfully reproduced, while the “factory-fresh” livery reflects the aircraft as it would appear leaving the assembly line in Bordeaux-Mérignac.

Inside the cockpit, early renders show a highly detailed pilot environment with accurate geometry and texture work. While avionics and core systems are still under development, the foundation of the cockpit layout is already in place.

Early Interactive Features

Despite being an early-stage preview, several functional elements are already implemented:

  • Pre-flight interaction points
  • Animated ground mechanic performing inspection
  • Initial loadout management system

AzurPoly notes that these features represent only a fraction of the final scope. Advanced avionics, complex systems simulation, and additional operational functionality remain in active development and will be progressively revealed.

Custom Sound Set by Echo19

The preview also introduces a first sample of the custom sound suite developed by Echo19. Even at this stage, the engine audio demonstrates depth and low-frequency presence, hinting at an immersive acoustic experience designed to replicate the Rafale’s distinctive power profile.

Community Collaboration

The walkaround video was produced by PracticallyGeek, who also provided the voiceover narration. His presentation guides viewers through the aircraft’s current development status while highlighting the modeling and environmental detail achieved so far.

AzurPoly emphasizes that this is an early preview, with significant systems and avionics work still underway. Nonetheless, the project already demonstrates a strong visual and structural foundation for what could become one of the most technically ambitious military aircraft releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The official early preview video – embedded below – has been edited and produced by Practically Geek, also official partner of SIMMARKET.
