With the Lunar New Year celebrations concluded, WF Scenery Studio has unveiled its latest development roadmap, confirming that Hong Kong International Airport V2 is now officially in production for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The upcoming V2 release represents a comprehensive redevelopment of Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH). According to the developer, the project features fully rebuilt 3D models, enhanced airside and landside detailing, and extensive performance optimization aimed at delivering a significantly more immersive and efficient experience.
The new version will also integrate the airport’s under-construction terminal infrastructure, reflecting ongoing real-world expansion works. Compatibility is planned for both Microsoft Flight Simulator and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Next Project: Guangzhou Baiyun Expansion
Following the completion of Hong Kong V2, the studio will shift its focus north to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (ZGGG). The upcoming scenery will model the airport’s latest expansion phase, including additional runways and satellite terminals aligned with current real-world construction progress.
