http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00NmkjXqwmg The video above shows the latest release from Carenado’s stable; the C182T Skylane with a G1000 glass cockpit fit, designed to provide more information to the pilot in a way that doesn’t overload their senses and capability to deal with the input. In this instance, Carenado have also strayed a little outside their usual ‘comfort zone’ as well and have provided a degree of detail to the displays above and beyond that to which sim pilots may be accustomed from the default G1000 aircraft in FSX and P3D. With a features list including traffic and terrain awareness, it is…

Phoenix Sky Harbor by FlightBeam is ready for purchase. Before you have your hand on the wallet, you can download and try the free download version. Then you can make it work with FSX or Prepar3d. KPHX HD features photoreal textures of a higher resolution than their initial release KSFO San Francisco.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ0iSNO-8Sk FSInventions’ FSFlyingschool Pro is possibly slightly misnamed, as it does not actually teach you how to fly, but it does monitor, record and report on your performance, helping you to improve your skills, or at least find out which areas you need to improve on. Alongside this role, the package also adds a number of other functions, courtesy of your own personal ‘instructor’, a list of which and details of them can be found on the product page at simMarket. For Microsoft sim users, the FS9/X version can be found here.

The Service pack 1 for your CT182T Skylane is available for download to fix some items (frozen compass..) and to improve others that you’ll find interesting (internal sounds, click spots for G1000..). It’s announced with further details on Carenado’s facebook page.

Cycle 1209 of Navigraph’s FMS data for most of the complex airliners, flight planners and other tools available for simulation use has been released and is now available from their website. Each cycle costs 20 Navigraph credits to download, with an annual (13 cycle) package available for 200 credits. Don’t forget that you can purchase Navigraph credits here at simMarket.

As promised when they released the FS9 package of the same jets a while ago, QualityWings have released the FSX/Prepar3D version of their Avro RJ series aircraft from “The Ultimate 146 Collection”. Created as FSX native products so including bump maps, sound cones, high resolution textures with custom environment maps, etcetera, the RJ70, RJ85 and RJ100 are the modernised variants of the venerable BAe146 “Jumbolino”, featuring semi-glass cockpits, FMC and a Boeing-style autopilot amongst other modifications over their predecessors. Again as promised, the FSX RJs are free to those who have a license for the FS9 package and are available…

As previously announced here, the new version 1.4 of Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D has been released today, including a number of bug fixes and enhancements, plus the Iris T6 Texan II pictured above and Lionheart’s Mooney Acclaim. The new version of the simulator is a complete new install set, not a service release or patch file, so licensed users will need to download the entire set again (3 files at approximately 10Gb total), uninstall their current version and then install the new package. Release notes for version 1.4 can be also be found on the download page at the Prepar3D website, to…

The Avions Robin DR400 series has been a mainstay of the GA fleet, particularly in France, for many years – dating back indeed to the 1970s, when the design was developed from Jodel aircraft, which give the DR400 its distinctive wingshape. Unlike many of its peers, the DR400 series remains in production today, with very few design changes. The model recreated here by Lionheart Creations for FSX and P3D is the 180hp DR400-180 variant, also known as the “Dauphin 80” or “Regent”, which is the highest powered and best equipped of the range, designed for four-seat touring. As such, it…

Drzewiecki Design’s Polish Airports Volume 3 has been available for FS9 for a while now but, over the weekend, that version was joined at simMarket by the same package for users of Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D. The three sceneries contained within volume 3 are Poznań-Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport (EPPO), Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport (EPBY) and Wrocław Copernicus Airport (EPWR). As usual with Drzewiecki Design’s sceneries, the airports are created with great detail and custom textures/structures/ground polygons. Unfortunately Microsoft removed the ability to conditionally change textures and models from the FSX software developer’s kit, but rather than…

Lockheed-Martin have announced that the next version of their Prepar3D simulator, version 1.4, will be released as a full new download on 20th August 2012. The new release is described as being primarily for addressing software bugs and performance updates, but in addition to this there are two new aircraft – the Mooney Acclaim from Lionheart Creations and T-6 Texan II from Iris Simulation Software – both names very familiar to the FS community. The update also brings certification for AMD’s “Eyefinity” multi-screen display technology. Some questions and answers about the new release can be found on the news announcement…
