After a few setbacks, it seems that Robert Graf’s first full season in the iRacing DOM-GNL series with his simFlight liveried Chevy Impala might be turning around a little. At least the bodywork in this week’s image is intact and the right shape, which probably helped him reach the finishing position that he did! Robert’s race report from Pocono, which can be found by clicking the “Read More” link below, isn’t the only news from iRacing this week, however – the team have also published a new iRacingTV episode, showing what they are planning and is in development, as well…

We haven’t posted any of these for a while, for a variety of reasons, so it’s time for a bit of a catch up on Robert Graf’s first full season in iRacing’s DOM-GNL racing league. There are three race reports behind the cutline, covering the oval races at Darlington, Charlotte (Night) and Dover speedways. Click “Read more” below to see how Robert is getting on – other than the rearranged bodywork shown above, that is!

Image Space Incorporated’s rFactor2 isn’t a racing sim we’ve mentioned much recently. but with release due later this year, the line-up of included cars and tracks is now being finalised. The latest addition to the licensed content will be all cars involved in the FIA’s Formula 2 Championship, announced recently on the F2 website, here. The rFactor2 car has been developed in association with James Goodfield, Formula 2’s Chief Engineer, who is quoted as saying “We’re very pleased with the results and feel confident it will provide professional racing drivers, as well as amateurs, with a simulation as close to…

Following recent disappointment and exclusion from the race at Bristol, Robert Graf’s simFlight liveried virtual Chevy Impala has made it back into action in the Deutsche Online Meisterschaft/German NASCAR League of iRacing. In spite of a mid-field start, not only did Robert manage to advance through the pack for a much improved finishing position, he also managed a couple of other firsts and increased his series points tally nicely. Well done Robert! To read his race report, please click “Read more->” below.

The second season of 2012 started today at iRacing, bringing the new tracks, new format for rookie oval drivers and the Cadillac CTS-VR into the main schedule. Indeed the Cadillac has its own series, the “Cadillac Cup”, opening at Mosport for the first week of twelve. It’s also brought your editor his Class A license, even though I tend to finish midfield in class D races… I wonder how I get demoted again without turning every race into a demolition derby? Anyway. A new season means that the squeal of rubber on tarmac will be resounding from many speakers as…

With the new build released of iRacing today, those following Robert Graf’s progress in the DOM/GNL series might be wondering why there’s been no word recently. Well, unfortunately, Robert’s campaign has had a few dents put in it, with his involvement in two yellow flag incidents at Martinsville leading to his being excluded from the next race due to penalty points incurred. With his penalty served, Robert rejoined the season last week at Texas only to be caught up running into a major accident ahead of him in the early stages of the race, which was then terminated due to…

Racing simulation iRacing.com have today released a new build, adding a new car, a new track and more updated functionality. The famous Twin Ring Motegi in Japan is the new addition on the track side, as a paid for extra, while the Cadillac CTS-V car joins the line up of free vehicles – taking its place on the Week 13 schedule at Laguna Seca to give drivers a taste before the new Season starts next week. With the recent announcements that iRacing have signed agreements to add a RUF RT12R and the Donington Park circuit in the UK to the…

As previously reported, we got a little out of synch with Robert Graf’s progress through the DOM/GNL series of simulated NASCAR races using the iRacing simulator. Therefore rather than a single race report this time, he presents two, covering the round 6 race at Las Vegas and round 7 at Richmond. To read the two race reports, please click “Read More” below…

We’re a bit (?!) late posting this one, because for some reason the news filter missed it at the news editor’s end, so many apologies to Robert Graf and those following his progress in the DOM/GNL series of iRacing. The series continued last week, however, at Phoenix, AZ… As usual, no plan survived contact with the opposition, but you can read Robert’s Race report by clicking “Read more” below. Just for the record, the next race has already taken place – we’ll post the report from that one later.

Posted yesterday on their website, Slightly Mad Studios have released a new build for “Team Member” and above subscribers to their “WMD (World of Mass Development) powered” Project CARS. The new build, 169, introduces five new circuits to the racing title, adding to the eleven already included. “The five new tracks offer something for everyone as members get to enjoy a wide variety of circuits. Fans of modern race tracks will love the Badenring, a German Grand Prix-style venue that offer a lot of challenging corners. If you like it more old school, the historic layout of the Badenring will…
