Railworks 3 users who have not yet discovered and are interested in the various activities developed by Trains and Drivers may be interested to see these multi-pack bundles, newly available. The UK Scenario Collection brings together Volumes 10 to 14 of their scenario packs for the British routes, but requires a significant extra outlay on additional routes and vehicles to use. The US Scenario Collection includes Volumes 2, 5, 8 and 9 plus Fort Kent – the 1980s. It only requires the Fort Kent, Horseshoe Curve and CN Widenose add-ons to work fully.

As recently reported here, RailSimulator.com have recently announced a significant update to their Train Simulator 2012/Railworks3 platform. Following a slightly haphazard and two-part release process, Service Pack 1 is now live through Steam and will download the next time you launch the application. Be aware, however, that the developers have advised users to back up their installation before the update is downloaded. Update: At the time of release there were a huge amount of complaints about vanishing routes and rolling stock following the installation of the update. This now appears to have reversed and there are far more people reporting…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrzEnsn_lv8 We don’t normally post the “less simmy” stuff sold through simMarket here, but along with all the more serious/realistic development for Railworks3/Train Simulator 2012, we thought this one might catch peoples’ eyes as a bit of fun. Unfortunately it’s available in German only at this time, but if you used to prop up your OO gauge rail tracks with books and a lump of wood to create a bridge, or ever fancied running one around the kitchen without annoying the family, it might be for you! More details – as stated before, in German only – here.

It was only two days ago that we mentioned developer Oovee as being better known for their train simulation work than for flight sims, so what appears on simMarket the next day, but Oovee’s Wagon Combo Pack for Railworks / Train Simulator 2012. The MJA Twin Wagon comes in a single livery with a variety of weathering and graffiti options, while the TEA Tank Wagon comes with a total of six liveries. There…
