CJ Simulations and Just Flight have rolled out the v0.3.2 update for their Eurofighter Typhoon add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, delivering several targeted improvements to systems, liveries, and multiplayer compatibility.
Livery Fixes
The highlight for livery enthusiasts is a correction to the Royal Air Force Display 2024 paint scheme, better known as “Moggy.” This striking airshow livery now displays accurately in the simulator, reflecting its real-world counterpart with greater fidelity.
MDE & Autothrottle System Enhancements
Significant attention has been given to the autothrottle SPD modes within the Mission Display Environment (MDE). The update introduces the following changes:
- Four SPD modes are now directly accessible via the autopilot panel: SPD HOLD, SPD SEL, SPD AWLS, and SPD SCRS.
- Interaction logic has been refined for better realism and usability:
- SPD HOLD now updates the SPD SEL target value (DAS/DMA).
- SPD SEL is the only mode allowing manual adjustment using the VAL INCR/DCRS buttons.
- AWLS and SCRS are fully automatic, adjusting speed targets autonomously.
These improvements aim to provide a more authentic and controllable high-performance jet experience.
Covers & Chocks Now Multiplayer-Compatible
One of the more technical, yet impactful, improvements is the rewritten visibility logic for covers and chocks. Previously, these elements could appear incorrectly in multiplayer sessions.
The logic now ensures these items are only visible when:
- The aircraft is on the ground,
- Both engines are completely shut down (no combustion), and
- Engine RPM reads 0 for both.
This update significantly enhances immersion and realism in shared cockpit or group flying scenarios.
The Eurofighter Typhoon by CJ Simulations continues to evolve, offering MSFS pilots a blend of fast jet excitement and advanced systems management. The v0.3.2 update reflects ongoing community feedback and a commitment to improving the aircraft’s depth and performance across all supported platforms.
