PMDG – Douglas DC-6 MSFS Update

The official update for the PMDG DC-6 in MSFS has set targets on the 3D models and textures of the virtual cockpit and the exterior body, to fix a few geometry issues. Find the detailed changelog in the official forum here.

PMDG – DC-6 for MSFS Available

Two variants DC-6A and DC-6B are now ready to fly when you order the freshly released pack by PMDG for Flight Simulator. They programmed an automated flight engineer and realistic systems for the fuel and electrical features of the aircraft. More info at PMDG official website.

PMDG – DC-6 Cloudmaster (P3D) Review

In June 2016, PMDG released the Douglas DC-6 Cloudmaster for X-Plane, their first foray into that platform. Early in the summer of 2017, the same classic airplane was released for FSX and P3D. Quite a bit different from the Boeing airliners PMDG released the last couple of years, so let’s see how they did.

JustFlight 737 Pro and DC-6

Among JustFlight current developments, they have a DC-6 “Legends of Flight”, for FSX with preview pictures already published. Developed for the same publisher by Black Box Simulation (you know, somewhat PSS come-back), they are also preparing 737 Professional, an expansion of the historic Boeing 737 series -100/200 with steam gauges.

A new aircraft under development will be published by JustFlight. Announced in their forum, it will be a Douglas DC-6. This will be a nice idea to dive into 1940’s and 1950’s .. and test if its pressurized cabin works in flight sim !
