Robert Graf designed a freeware airfield scenery in Ontario, Canada. Kakabeka Falls CKG8 is compatible with Ultimate Terrain X Canada and also the default terrain of FSX.
He used pure default buildings and included the seaplane base.
“Racing seasons over and i have a bit more time to spend on flying. I continued my Boeing 314 Clipper Worldtour with the Catalina in FSX. Sadly i was not able to find a water aerodrome along the border between the United States and Canada. So i came up with my own: Kakabeka Falls. The scenery is made from default objects only (as are all of my sceneries). Its compatible with Ultimate Terrain X – Canada and default FSX terrain as well.
Kakabeka Falls (ON, Canada, ICAO: CKG8) is a small VFR airfield west of Thunder Bay near Lake Superior. It has a seaplane base on the Kaministiquia River and is home to the Kakabeka Falls Flying Club and the Lakehead Gliding Club. The airfield was designed for Ultimate Terrain X – Canada (recommended). A version for default FSX terrain ist also included. This version models enough of the Kaministiquia River to even land a Catalina.
