The airport of Sonderborg (EKSB/SGD) is located in Southern Jutland, a few miles from its nominal city, near the Danish/German border on the island of Als.

With an 1800m runway, the airport can handle most short-haul and regional airliners and is well equipped with navaids, allowing it to operate under most weather conditions. Vidan Design have based their FSX scenery of the airport on site photographs taken by the team, which have then been used to create high-resolution textured custom buildings and structures, placed atop a 40cm/pixel aerial photograph base texture with seasonal variations. other features include custom GA traffic, volumetric grass and many animations – although as a result, it is not compatible with DX10 preview mode.
