WoWP to add RAF tech tree tomorrow

brit-2Considering that they have been using a Spitfire on many of their headers and backgrounds since the project was announced, would-be RAF pilots will be happy to see that wargaming.net’s World of Warplanes open beta will be updated tomorrow to version 0.5.3 – including that iconic aircraft as part of a new British tech tree.

From the tier I Gloster Goldfinch to the heights of the tier X Supermarine Swift and Gloster Javelin, you can now fight your way through against the existing Soviet, German, US and Japanese models, with all tech trees getting at least minor modifications.

Not heard of the Goldfinch? Neither had we until we looked it up. Apparently one was made as a prototype and it never entered production. Surely they could have picked something more appropriate than that!
