MXI Design’s rendition of Aktion National Airport LGPZ for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available on SIMMARKET. Known as Preveza Airport, this hub serves the regions of Preveza and Lefkada in the Ionian islands of Greece and has been operational since 1968.
Additionally, it is utilized by NATO and the Hellenic Air Force. The airport gained new management in 2015 when the Fraport AG/Copelouzos Group joint venture signed a deal with Greece’s privatisation agency to operate 14 regional airports, including Aktion, for 40 years starting in autumn 2016.
MXI Design has meticulously recreated Aktion National Airport with highly accurate models of the terminal and other airport buildings. The scenery includes up-to-date ground polygons and markings, along with a basic terminal interior model to add depth to the experience. Custom parking positions have been created to match real-life configurations, and PBR (Physically Based Rendering) technology has been implemented for all models to enhance visual realism. Additionally, the scenery includes custom CGL (Color Graded Landscape) aerial imagery and 3D passengers to bring the airport to life.
