VFlyteAir Releases Significant Update 1.1 for Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche in MSFS20/24

VFlyteAir Simulations Inc. has released an update for its Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS).

Version 1.1 focuses primarily on enhancing the sound design, which has been completely reworked in collaboration with SimAcoustics. The new sounds are based on recordings of the real aircraft, providing a significantly more realistic and immersive audio experience. Along with engine sounds, the sounds for fans and switches have also been updated. According to VFlyteAir, the sound is now one of the add-on’s strengths.

In addition to the sound update, version 1.1 allows switching between the Garmin and TDS navigation systems without requiring an aircraft reload. Pilots can easily select their preferred configuration via an in-cockpit menu.

Highlights of Update 1.1:

  • Overhauled Sound Design: In partnership with SimAcoustics, sounds have been rebuilt from the ground up and are now based on recordings of the real aircraft.
  • Navigation System Selection: Pilots can now choose between the Garmin and TDS navigation systems without restarting the simulation.
  • Extensive Bug Fixes: Version 1.1 addresses a wide range of bugs, including:
    • The small seconds hand on the clock has been fixed and no longer jumps.
    • The knobs and buttons on the GTN750/GTN650 units are now animated.
    • The DME source switch (NAV1/NAV2) is now animated.
    • The crew volume rotary knob on the PMA8000B is now animated.
    • The aircraft configuration checklist in the TDSGTNXi has been corrected.
    • The cabin switch is now correctly set to OFF (center position) on aircraft load.
    • Several circuit breakers on the remote compass control panel are now animated and functional (COMM2, NAV1, etc.).
    • The floating landing lights above the wingtips have been fixed.
    • Mouse interaction with the sun visor now works correctly from top to bottom.
    • The interior lighting knobs no longer rotate when the battery power is off.
    • A bug with the altimeter has been fixed.
    • A minor bug with the exterior navigation lights has been fixed.
