Navigraph Showcases Aerosoft CRJ V2: A Next-Gen Regional Jet for MSFS

In a new blog post, Navigraph takes the Aerosoft CRJ V2 for a spin, offering a firsthand look at the latest enhancements in this next-generation regional jet for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

Aerosoft has released the CRJ V2 for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, marking a significant upgrade to their original CRJ release. The new version introduces over 190 enhancements, including a fully reworked cabin, functional cabin signs, updated lighting, and a refined flight model that utilizes MSFS2024’s improved simulation technology. A major highlight is the revamped Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), now featuring seamless integration with Navigraph charts and SimBrief OFPs, bringing added realism and convenience to pre-flight and in-flight operations.

During a test flight from Salt Lake City (KSLC) to Saint George (KSGU) aboard the CRJ-700, the aircraft showcased improved visuals with updated PBR textures and a beautifully detailed interior. The enhanced EFB made tasks like departure briefings more intuitive, and the flight model, while more sensitive than other aircraft initially, delivered a rewarding and responsive flying experience once adjusted. The author also noted improvements to the flight soundscape with the addition of Boris Sound Modifications, which boosted immersion throughout the flight.

Although the landing phase required a go-around due to pilot error, the CRJ V2 demonstrated solid performance and recoverability, highlighting its refined flight dynamics. Overall, the CRJ V2 is more than a visual upgrade—it’s a comprehensive enhancement that makes the aircraft more immersive, feature-rich, and enjoyable to fly in both MSFS2020 and 2024. With Navigraph integration and modern flight simulation features, it sets a high bar for regional jet experiences in the sim.
