FlightSim Studio AG has announced that their highly anticipated Super 27 project is now in its final testing phase for Microsoft Flight Simulator. With all features now implemented — including complete systems, visuals, and sound — the team is fully focused on fine-tuning the aircraft before release.
The Super 27 is a modernized variant of the classic Boeing 727, powered by uprated JT8D-217 engines. These upgrades give the aircraft a significantly more responsive and powerful feel, offering a “sportier edge” that distinguishes it from its original form.
According to the developers, they’re now engaged in a rigorous cycle of testing and tweaking to ensure everything performs to their high standards. This final stage marks an exciting step toward release, with more updates expected soon.
