AzurPoly – C-160 Transall Native for MSFS 2024 This Month, MSFS 2020 Update Incoming

AzurPoly has announced that the native MSFS 2024 version of their C-160 Transall will be released this month for both PC and Xbox. Far from being just a simple port, the aircraft has been completely rebuilt using a modular architecture and features numerous exclusive enhancements.

Among the new features in the 2024 edition are:

  • Sound package enhanced by Echo19.
  • Improved textures with extensive use of detail maps, new rivets, decals, and high-resolution nose textures.
  • New tire model and deformation effects.
  • Animated cockpit sun-visors.
  • Five new liveries (French and German).
  • Flare launch system with individually simulated flares.
  • Improved paratrooper models and drop animations.
  • More realistic electrical, hydraulic (three circuits), and pneumatic systems using FS2024’s modular approach.
  • Interactive walk-around mode, including a lift platform to access the aircraft’s top.
  • SimBrief integration in the FMS, plus integrated GNS 430 and GTN 650 (TDS Sim & PMS50).

Before the release of the 2024 version, AzurPoly will also roll out an update for the MSFS 2020 edition. This update will include the new Echo19 sound set along with several fixes and improvements.

The developer notes that creating a modular FS2024 version was a far greater challenge than expected, requiring them to maintain two different code bases and adapt to the unique hurdles of the new simulator.

Pricing will be USD 35 for the MSFS 2024 version, with a USD 10 upgrade fee for owners of the MSFS 2020 edition. The MSFS 2020 version price will also be lowered from USD 33 to USD 28, reflecting its smaller feature set compared to the new build.

More release details will be shared soon.
