SimWorks Studios – Airvan Ready for August 21st Release, Updates on PC-12 and Kodiak

After multiple scratch builds, delays, and a long wait, SimWorks Studios confirmed that their GippsAero Airvan for MSFS 2020 will be released on August 21st. The aircraft is now “sitting in the cloud” ready for launch.

SimWorks Studios will take a short break starting Monday to recharge ahead of release day, during which no news, support, or communication will be available.

The MSFS 2024 version of the Airvan is also in progress. It is now nearly on par with the 2020 edition, but will still require a clean-up pass, seat belt implementation, and further testing once the team returns.

Other development updates include:

  • PC-12: Exterior model optimizations are not yet complete, but the NG cockpit has been cleaned up and prepared for integration with the new cabin. The unified model will simplify future upgrades and maintenance. Flight model tuning continues, with improvements to right veering on take-off already implemented.
  • Kodiak 100 and 900: Both versions are now ready for MSFS 2024, with systems and avionics largely complete. They will follow the Airvan in the release schedule.

SimWorks Studios also shared a preview of the new PC-12 cabin and a sneak peek of the Airvan in their latest stories.

Release day for the Airvan is now less than a week away.
