With ERJ Family Version 2.0, X-Crafts Ltd. does not iterate — it resets. The entire Embraer regional lineup has been rebuilt from the ground up for X-Plane 12, transforming a popular series into a far more advanced, system-driven platform.
This is a structural redevelopment aimed at realism, procedural depth, and immersion that extends well beyond visuals.
A True 2.0 – What Has Changed
The defining shift in Version 2.0 is systems fidelity.
Every major aircraft system is now simulated with operational logic aligned to real-world workflows. The FMS and autopilot are fully implemented, supporting complex IFR tasks such as holds, DME arcs, flyover waypoints, and precise intercepts. The flight model has been refined to match real engine performance and handling characteristics, delivering a regional jet that feels responsive yet disciplined in climb, cruise, and approach.
The avionics suite has been redesigned with high-resolution PFD, MFD, and EICAS displays, custom navigation mapping, complete synoptic pages, and independent captain and first officer instrumentation. Weather radar and terrain radar integration enhance situational awareness, particularly in adverse conditions.
A notable addition is AirComms™, an intelligent on-screen guidance system that provides contextual reminders and structured workflow assistance from startup to shutdown. It adds immersion without reducing procedural integrity — particularly valuable for structured airline-style operations.
The new integrated EFB consolidates dispatch and aircraft management into one coherent environment. SimBrief integration, weight and balance control, performance calculations, ground services, interactive checklists, and Avitab support are fully embedded into cockpit operations.
Visually and acoustically, the aircraft benefits from a completely retextured interior, refined lighting, new landing gear modeling, rain effects across cockpit and cabin windows, immersive sound design with optional headset simulation, VR-ready manipulators, and optimized performance for stable frame rates in X-Plane 12.

The Lineup – From Regional Workhorse to Executive Jet
The flagship release is the complete ERJ Family 2.0 bundle, which includes:
Together, these variants cover the full spectrum of Embraer’s regional and business jet operations, from short-haul commuter routes to extended-range and executive missions.
Each aircraft is also available as a standalone product, allowing sim pilots to tailor their fleet strategy while retaining full system depth across the range.
Advanced Regional Simulation, Properly Executed
ERJ Family 2.0 sits firmly in the advanced airliner category within X-Plane 12. It is engineered for procedural IFR flying, online network operations such as VATSIM, and structured airline-style workflows.
The emphasis is clear: operational realism over surface enhancement.
For regional jet specialists and serious X-Plane 12 operators, the 2.0 series represents a mature, deeply simulated Embraer platform that balances technical precision with immersive cockpit presence.
