Just Flight Shares New LJ45 Professional Development Update for MSFS

Just Flight has released a fresh in-development update for their highly anticipated LJ45 Professional jet, currently in the works for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020.

This modern rendition of the classic Learjet 45—fondly remembered as a default aircraft from FS98 through FSX—is being brought to life by the Just Flight in-house development team. The aircraft will include both the LJ45 and LJ45XR variants, and promises an advanced level of detail, performance, and realism under the studio’s Professional range.

The latest development update reveals an almost complete 3D cockpit model, showcasing high-quality textures, accurate geometry, detailed screws and rivets, and the distinctive CRT displays of the real jet. While the aircraft is being presented with a clean, well-maintained look in keeping with its private jet status, subtle weathering and wear marks have been faithfully reproduced for authenticity.

Among the many confirmed features:

  • 8K textures and fully animated exterior components
  • Custom-coded systems (hydraulics, electrics, fuel, pressurization)
  • Fully modeled and interactive Primus 1000 EFIS cockpit with UNS FMS
  • Integrated EFB with Navigraph and SimBrief support
  • Detailed cabin interior with galley, toilet, and even a VIP carpet
  • High-fidelity Wwise sound set with TFE731 turbofan audio
  • Realistic flight model developed with input from real-world LJ45 pilots
  • MSFS-native icing, VR support, and checklist compatibility

The LJ45 Professional was recently shown at FS Expo, giving attendees a first look at the in-progress visuals. With modelling and texturing nearing completion, systems development is expected to begin shortly.

Stay tuned for further updates as Just Flight continues work on bringing this beloved business jet to the next generation of flight simmers.
