SimWorks Studios has shared a major development update for their aircraft lineup, with exciting news for both the GA8 Airvan and PC-12, alongside progress on the Kodiak series and the Airvan video tutorial series.
GA8 Airvan for MSFS 2020 & 2024
The long-awaited GA8 Airvan for Microsoft Flight Simulator is almost ready for takeoff! The FS2020 version is at the finish line, with the team already contacting the 10 community members selected to receive free copies ahead of release. While the FS2024 version is feature-complete, SWS plans an additional month of testing after Sim Update 3 before its release.
A full product page, manual, and failures supplement will go live next week. Meanwhile, the official manual PDF is already available for download.
For now, the Airvan will launch on the Microsoft Marketplace, with a SimWorks Studios store release to follow later.
PC-12 Interior Completed
Work on the Pilatus PC-12 also continues to progress. The interior model has been fully revamped with improved performance via new LODs, seamless textures, and reduced file size. Cabin customization is now much easier and has already enhanced liveries like FVA and Safari Wings.
Exterior work is scheduled next, and a teaser of the NG variant is also expected soon. Hot-swapping between GNS, GTN, and GTNXi units is in the works, using the Airvan’s avionics tablet.
Kodiak 100/900 Also in Progress
SWS confirmed they are also actively working on making the Kodiak 100 and Kodiak 900 fully compatible with MSFS 2024, with more updates expected soon.
