IndiaFoxtEcho has shared a new development update with exciting previews of several military aircraft projects currently in the works for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The studio acknowledges the recent silence and reassures fans that it stems from intense work across multiple aircraft, many of which are nearing major development milestones.
✈️ Eurofighter Typhoon
IndiaFoxtEcho reports strong progress on the long-anticipated Eurofighter Typhoon. The aircraft is already flyable in-sim, and many of its systems are either complete or close to final. Compared to the older P3D/FSX version, the MSFS edition promises to be significantly more realistic and detailed, within the sim’s native limitations.
Modeling and texturing of key components like the landing gear, slats, and speedbrake are still in progress. While there’s no confirmed release date, a summer 2025 release appears unlikely at this stage.
F-16A Falcon – Collaboration with Heatblur Simulations
A high-profile joint effort with Heatblur Simulations, the F-16A Falcon is shaping up nicely. The 3D model—crafted by Heatblur—is nearly finished, requiring only minor tweaks before texturing begins. Meanwhile, IndiaFoxtEcho has begun work on avionics and the flight model, with Beta testing still months away.
TA-4J Skyhawk
Another exciting addition to the MSFS hangar, the TA-4J Skyhawk is moving along steadily. The external model is complete, and cockpit geometry is done, though UV unwrapping and texture work are ongoing. Coding for avionics and early flight model work is underway, though the Skyhawk currently holds lower priority than the Eurofighter and F-16.
F-35 Lightning II “Remastered”
IndiaFoxtEcho is planning a graphical overhaul of the existing F-35 Lightning II, bringing it up to their latest visual standards. Some planned functional upgrades will instead be pushed as an update to the current MSFS product, before the remastered version enters full development.
Other Product Updates
Updates are also in the pipeline for several released aircraft including the F-14 Tomcat, M-346 Master, and Tornado. These updates have been delayed slightly to potentially integrate new code improvements derived from Eurofighter development. Work will resume next week with releases to follow shortly.
With so many high-quality military aircraft in development, IndiaFoxtEcho clearly remains one of the most active and ambitious studios in the MSFS third-party space. Stay tuned for more updates—and visuals—soon.
