Saint Barths’ Gustaf III Airport (TFFJ) is well-known for its dramatic approach over a hill known as “The Saddle”, and SLH Sim Designs has gone the extra mile to capture every nuance of the location—literally. The team visited the site in real life to gather data and reference imagery, resulting in unmatched accuracy and attention to detail.
Among the standout features:
- Dynamic 3D animated people on the hill who react to aircraft: waving, ducking, and filming. Characters vary throughout the day
- Animated road traffic near the RWY10 threshold adds challenge and realism
- Precisely sculpted terrain and hill slope to reflect real-world topography, improving both visual accuracy and flight dynamics
Additional features include:
- Fully modelled terminal and tower interiors, with working elevator
- Custom 3D structures and high-resolution 4K PBR textures
- Animated jet skis and speedboats across island beaches
- Eden Rock resort, Gustavia Bay, shopping centers, and beach zones carefully modelled
- Realistic ground textures, grunge effects, dynamic lighting, signage, and elevation corrections
- Optimized performance, reportedly better than the default scenery
Whether you’re landing over the hill into RWY10 or departing toward the sea, this scenery aims to deliver the most authentic Saint Barthélemy experience ever released for MSFS.
Stay tuned for more previews and the upcoming release.
