Fly Through 160 Land Strips or “Pistas de Garimpo” at Amazonia Jungle at MSFS 2024. With this scenario of 160 Land Strips Pack for a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the virtual pilot will have a glimpse of the challenging and risky flight conditions of the Amazon, such as landing or taking off from very short runways where the pilot has no margin for error. More info and available via simMarket. Also with a YouTube video, for a short impression.

The term Pista de Garimpo is Portuguese for “prospector’s airstrip” or “mining airstrip”. It refers to landing strips used to support gold mining operations (garimpo) in the remote and difficult-to-access regions of the Amazon rainforest, primarily in Brazil. used to transport all king of supplies and people to and from the mining sites.  They serve as crucial logistical hubs for mining activities, especially for gold and other minerals.

With this scenario you will find the biggest challenges ever seen in Flight Simulator 2024, such as very short runways, some only 250 meters long, runways with uneven terrain, runways surrounded by trees that are over 25 meters high, that is, runways where the wingtips barely fit. Here, your concentration and professionalism is what will differentiate whether you will do well or badly.

All 160 runways available for you to explore have ICAO codes to make it easier to plan your flights, starting with ICAO PG01 and ending with PG160.

About the creator:

Hello my name is Paulo Figueiredo I am known as Tchockozzo (Surname), I am the creator of this scenario for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – MSFS2024. Let me introduce myself better to you.

I’m son of a pilot and a lover of aviation and simulation. My father, “Mário Figueiredo, known as Canarinho,” flew extensively on the well-known and challenging mining airstrips, places my father braved with great courage, precision, and skill, transporting everything to and from the mines in the states of Amazonas, Pará, and Roraima in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Hence my passion for this type of aviation in the Amazon.
