A glass-cockpit Archer arrives for X-Plane 12 pilots
General aviation refinement takes shape with the PA-28-181 Archer TX/LX, developed by Just Flight in partnership with Thranda Design for X-Plane 12. Based on detailed research of real-world airframe N752ND, this modern Archer blends training utility with cross-country capability.
Powered by a 180 hp engine, the aircraft cruises at approximately 118 knots with a range close to 500 miles—well suited for circuit work, regional touring, and structured flight training. The cockpit centers on the Garmin G1000 suite, featuring PFD and MFD displays, optional synthetic vision, a GFC 700 autopilot, and an EFD 1000 standby instrument.
Visual fidelity is emphasized through 8K textures, dynamic reflections, and rain effects that respond to environmental conditions. Thranda’s dynamic livery system, accessible via the onboard EFB, enables custom paint creation without external tools.
System depth extends beyond surface visuals. The simulation models custom fuel and electrical logic, spark plug fouling, vapor lock behavior, interactive checklists, and DynaFeel control response tuning. These features collectively support procedural training and realistic aircraft handling ⚙️
Widely operated across the USA, Germany, and the UK, the Archer TX/LX offers a globally relevant GA platform for pilots expanding their X-Plane 12 fleet.
