In a Press Release received last night, FranceVFR have advertised their latest product, Haute Normandie for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

According to the Press Release; “France VFR is proud to announce the release of our first new generation VFR photoreal scenery for FSX, based on the incredible 3D Automation technology !
This technology allows to display millions of trees and buildings in addition of hundred thousands of 3D objects and VFR landmarks.”

“France VFR is proud to announce the release of our first new generation VFR photoreal scenery for FSX, based on the incredible 3D Automation technology !
This technology allows to display millions of trees and buildings in addition of hundred thousands of 3D objects and VFR landmarks.

This scenery modelizes the Haute Normandie french region with high resolution texture (1m/pixel), ultra high resolution terrain mesh (4.75 true meters), all the buildings, trees, 3D objects and VFR landmarks.

The VFR pilot can now for the first time with FSX fly over a full immersive landscape including all the details he’s used to see from the cockpit !

Our 3D Automation technology is optimized to display 5 to 8 times more objects that every VFR scenery already developped for FSX, with an incredible realistic rendering and frame rate ! It’s possible with all the optimizations included depending on the capacity of the FSX graphic engine. The visibility distance has been increased to match the real life, without frame rate lost, that is very important for long distance city apparition.

This technology should provide soon a dedicated website to explain all the differents parts of the creation and placement process. So keep connected !
