Apparently you’ve seen that image once too often recently, but now it’s back for the right reasons – Microsoft have released their Alaska expansion for Flight through all the proper channels rather than Monday’s minor mess-up “due to a bug in the release testing process”.

i remember how excited i got with every release of msfs from fs1
onwards.did buy hawaii dlc.now it’s uninstalled and won’t be going on my new rig.
i only hope MSflight is gaining more followers than it is losing.

Out of curiosity, what part of Alaska does the scenery cover? Also, I assume you can use other aircraft there, like the Maule, that do have a cockpit? Personally
I really cannot begin to understand MS’ idea of releasing an aircraft with no cockpit. This must be the clearest statement that FLIGHT is meant to be used as a toy, like a child playing with its toy airplane in his/her hand.
I also don’t have this package, so can’t comment on what it covers from personal experience, but there’s been a lot of comments posted that the amount of ground coverage supposedly covered by it is larger than the horizontal surface area of the State of Alaska, so one can presume ‘all of it’.
You can fly anything anywhere – numerous screenshots of Maules over Alaska have already been posted (oddly, more people seem to be flying that than the included aircraft… wonder why?) and there are a few Vans shots. Again, I’ve seen no warbirds though, which makes me agree regarding the ‘basic’ aircraft.
They must be coming to the end, now, of the releases that were pre-determined before release. Even with the glacial response time of a company like Microsoft, the next couple of aircraft releases will be very telling. It’s just a pity that their release schedule is equally glacial so it’ll be at least another month before they do anything else.
