The popular weather utility for MSFS developed by REX was recently updated to ensure the best functionality with the current version of the simulator 1.29.28.0, with Sim Update 11 installed.
That’s why registered users of Weather Force 2020 MSFS must get the Technical Update 5 for their weather add-on. The list of fixes and installation instructions are detailed below.
FIX LIST:
- FIXED – Compatibility with latest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator – 1.29.28.0
- FIXED – Temperature rendering within Aircraft
- FIXED – Pressure rendering within Aircraft
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Uninstall all previous versions of the product.
- Remove all left over install folders.
- Create a “TEMP” folder on your desktop.
- Click the download link below and download the file into the “TEMP” folder you created on your desktop.
- Use WinZip or 7Zip (Do not use Windows UnZip) to unzip the installer files.
- Right click on the rexinstaller.exe and select “Run As Administrator” to start the installation process.
Nothing about a V5x, but V6x within ** ?!

Just use the download link given on the support page at REX website, follow the installation instructions. And that’s done, you get the latest Weather Force v6.0.2022.1115 running.
