Honeycomb Aeronautical has introduced the new Alpha Flight Controls Lite, a streamlined version of its popular yoke system, now available for €199.99 incl. VAT. Designed for entry-level simmers, the Alpha Lite offers 180° yoke rotation with a self-centering mechanism, minimal dead zone, and a reduced but functional set of buttons and rocker switches for essential flight control. It connects via USB-C and is compatible with PC and Mac, supporting Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane 11 & 12, and Prepar3D.
This Lite edition is clearly aimed at newcomers, providing a “plug & fly” setup for MSFS2020, while MSFS2024 users can take advantage of pre-made profiles and mapping guides. The build remains solid, with high-quality materials and smooth-running precision components ensuring durability for the long run. Compact dimensions (40 x 13 x 27 cm) make it a practical choice for smaller setups.
For years, the standard Alpha Flight Controls were sold at €250 with a generous 5-year warranty. Today, that same product has been raised to €300, partly reflecting inflation but also widening the price gap to this new Lite edition. With the Lite at €200, the difference is effectively just €50 compared to the old pricing of the full-featured model. Given the significant reduction in functions and buttons, some simmers may find the entry-level price point harder to justify. Like all products in Honeycomb’s lineup, it now carries a 2-year limited warranty, reflecting a recent policy change across the entire range.
