FlightSim Studio (FSS) has returned from the summer break with an extensive development update across several of their projects, covering classic jets, regional airliners, and light aircraft.
Super27 Expansion for the 727
The long-awaited Super27 expansion is almost ready for release. It brings a major systems update to the base 727 with features like a brand-new EFIS and autopilot including VNAV and RNAV approaches. The new digital VSI with TCAS will also work in the base 727 if the expansion is installed. Streamers are already beginning to showcase the aircraft, and the official documentation has been published.
Reminder: the expansion requires the base 727 version (pax or freighter).

727-100 Variant in Development
FSS has confirmed they are building the 727-100, to be released in both passenger and freighter versions. While convertible models are not planned, a Super27-style expansion is already being considered further down the line.

E-Jets Series – Closed Beta Progress
The E-Jets Series is steadily advancing through closed beta testing. Major issues with lateral/vertical guidance, autothrottle oscillations, and performance predictions are being addressed. Navigraph nav data integration is currently underway to replace faulty MSFS data, while VNAV modes for step climbs, descents, and RNAV approaches are being implemented. Although VNAV isn’t yet active in beta builds, screenshots confirm it’s already flying test profiles. A public experimental build is not yet ready, but FSS hints that the Christmas season could bring surprises.
Tecnam Aircraft for FS24
For GA pilots, both the Tecnam P2006T and P2012 are being updated as native FS24 aircraft. Improvements include enhanced 3D models, new textures and sounds, upgraded flight dynamics, new electronic flight bags, and walkaround features. Release timing has not been announced.
