AzurPoly has shared fresh details on an upcoming update for their official DASSAULT Jaguar package, bringing several long‑requested features and improvements to both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. The update, posted last week by the developer, is now on final approach and expected to arrive very soon.
One of the most anticipated additions is the introduction of the over‑wing pylons on the GR.1 variant. These now support AIM‑9 Sidewinder missiles, fully functional on MSFS 2024 and integrated into the existing weapons systems. (Marketplace customers will continue to require the external weapons patch to enable them.)
MSFS 2024 users will also receive a newly implemented drag chute, complete with fully animated deployment, realistic wind‑driven movement, and proper aerodynamic braking behavior. Once released, the parachute remains on the runway as a separate object — a small detail that enhances both realism and immersion.
As an additional bonus for MSFS 2024, AzurPoly is including the XX765 “ACT Demonstrator” livery, representing the experimental Jaguar used to develop early fly‑by‑wire technologies that later contributed to the EAP and Eurofighter Typhoon programs.
AzurPoly has published new screenshots showcasing these features, and the update is expected to be available shortly.
