Pilot Experience Sim has published its December Monthly Report, offering a solid progress update on its in-development Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Behind the lighthearted seasonal notes, December marked a notable acceleration in core airport development. The team reports that ground design has advanced significantly, with terraforming now finalized down to fine detail. Key bridge structures are in place, helping define the airport’s complex landside and airside flows.
Attention has now firmly shifted to what will be the backbone of the project: the terminal complexes. According to the developer, terminal modeling is progressing well and represents the largest share of the remaining design workload. Alongside this, numerous secondary buildings across the airport footprint have already been positioned, further locking in the overall layout of Europe’s busiest hub.
Pilot Experience Sim also highlighted the value of high-quality on-site references, noting the substantial volume of material received from across the airport. The team expressed sincere thanks to everyone contributing reference data, underlining how critical this support is for achieving a high level of realism.
With terrain, infrastructure, and large-scale layout now largely established, Paris CDG for MSFS is clearly moving beyond early groundwork and into structural and architectural definition—a promising stage for a project of this scale.
