SimWorks Studios kicks off 2026 with strong progress across their MSFS aircraft portfolio. The team reports significant improvements to the Airvan, focusing on take-off roll performance and high-altitude behavior, delivering better acceleration and more responsive power delivery. Fine-tuning of the climb profile is ongoing to ensure balanced performance throughout the flight envelope. These updates apply to both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 versions.
Airvan MSFS 2024 Updates:
- Adjusted oil temperature initialization following SU4 changes
- Fixed covers popping in when entering the aircraft
- Refined dynamic registrations and added customization for livery creators (control over colors, stroke thickness, and placement)
- Additional polish and minor bug fixes
Meanwhile, work on the Kodiak for MSFS 2024 continues steadily:
- Visual glitches from the FS2024 conversion have been corrected
- Codebase is being cleaned and updated
- G1000 plugin fixes, mainly for CAS annunciations, are in progress
- Finalization of dirt and weathering effects
Livery Improvements:
SimWorks Studios is revisiting decal-based liveries after SU4 fixes from Asobo, aiming to restore the full 2020 livery set while reducing package size to roughly a quarter of the current download with no loss in visual fidelity.
Other Fixes:
- Engine reverse torque bug resolved; fix will also be rolled into MSFS 2020 in the coming weeks.
SimWorks Studios closes the update wishing the community a successful 2026 and promising continued focus on realism and quality for both the Airvan and Kodiak.
