Meanwhile, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s first Sim Update (SU1) has entered public beta. While PMDG notes that some critical bugs they reported have been addressed, it’s unclear if these fixes are included in SU1. The company is cautiously evaluating the update to ensure compatibility with its 777 and other products. PMDG encourages users to temper expectations until thorough testing confirms the update’s impact on their aircraft.

The PMDG 747 project has gained significant momentum as development shifts from the 777. Both the 747-100 and 747-400 are advancing simultaneously, with early previews of the 747-100 flight engineer’s station revealing exceptional attention to detail. PMDG plans to include virtual crewmembers to assist with complex systems, making the aircraft accessible for both casual and advanced simmers.
