SimWorks Studios – Kodiak 100 & 900 Progressing Toward MSFS 2024 Release

SimWorks Studios has shared an exciting development update on their popular Kodiak series, bringing good news for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 pilots. The Kodiak 100 is now in the final stages of its 2024 conversion, with a modular model already prepared for efficient asset streaming in the new simulator. The upcoming version will feature improved dirt effects, an accessible cargo pod, and other small refinements.

Work on avionics is also advancing quickly. The current FS2020 edition now includes a fully functional Engine Indication System and interactive checklists, while the MSFS 2024 release will offer complete G1000 functionality for a near-realistic experience. The final steps include adapting sounds to the new 2024 standards and final polishing before release.

Meanwhile, the Kodiak 900 is following closely behind, featuring an improved model and upgraded systems, with testing expected to begin this month. If all goes as planned, both Kodiaks will be ready for release before the holidays. SimWorks Studios is also developing a new dynamic livery system to dramatically reduce aircraft file size and performance load. The team aims to deliver both aircraft in time for Christmas, alongside more updates soon on their PC-12 project.
