Navigraph Introduces Europe-Wide VFR Coverage Using Rogers Data ICAO Charts

Navigraph has expanded its charting ecosystem with full European VFR coverage powered by Rogers Data, the Austrian provider well known for its ICAO sectional charts used by flight schools and private pilots across the continent. The announcement was made during FSExpo 2025 and marks one of the most significant updates to Navigraph Charts in recent years for general aviation enthusiasts.

The new Rogers VFR Charts layer integrates directly into the Maps interface. Once selected from the Map Presets, users gain access to detailed topography, terrain shading, obstacle depictions, airspace classifications, and standardized ICAO symbology for the entire European region. Until now, VFR flying in Europe typically required combining materials from multiple national sources. Navigraph’s implementation consolidates these into a single, harmonized reference.

To illustrate the new data set, Navigraph presented a sample VFR route from Milan Malpensa (LIMC) to Samedan (LSZS). The flight showcases the Rogers charts’ value when navigating alpine terrain, including valley routing north of Lake Como and approach considerations into one of Europe’s highest airports. The example also highlights the depiction of regional wind phenomena such as the Maloja downslope winds, referenced on the visual approach chart for LSZS.

Rogers Data’s European layer is available to all Navigraph Charts Unlimited subscribers and includes a unified legend set accessible through the provider’s documentation. For VFR sim pilots, the integration offers a more coherent and operationally authentic experience across borders—something long requested by the community.

With this release, Navigraph continues to broaden its coverage beyond IFR, strengthening its position as a comprehensive navigation solution for desktop and console flight simulation.
