Paris Charles de Gaulle LFPG takes shape, one detail at a time.
Development continues steadily at Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG), with Pilot Experience Sim confirming a month focused on methodical ground work rather than headlines. The team describes January as a heads-down phase—less visible, but critical to long-term quality.
The most significant progress this month has been made on Terminal 2, the architectural and technical core of the airport. Ground design around the complex has advanced substantially, while the remaining airside and landside ground areas are now close to completion.
Attention will next shift to Terminal 1 and the cargo zones, both described as remaining tasks that should move forward efficiently once entered. In parallel, work on the AFCAD has progressed well, reinforcing operational accuracy for traffic flow, stands, and runway usage.
Beyond the macro layout, the project continues to gain depth through detail work. Hundreds of secondary buildings are being added progressively, supported by a newly developed parallax window library, bringing extra dimensionality and realism across the airport environment.
Terminal 2 remains the focal point. Its complexity and scale demand precision, and recent 4K reference videos covering complete walkthroughs of each area are driving a highly detail-oriented approach. According to the team, this level of reference material is shaping decisions down to the smallest architectural elements.
LFPG is clearly entering a refinement-heavy phase—less about speed, more about accuracy. For one of Europe’s most demanding hubs, Pilot Experience Sim appears committed to getting the fundamentals right before pushing forward.
More updates are expected as work progresses on the remaining terminals and cargo infrastructure.
