In this news post on their site, the team from Lockheed-Martin behind the next version of Prepar3D have announced that version 2 of the simulator platform will be available for sale via their site on 25th November 2013.

The much anticipated release will include numerous features and upgrades moving it away from the “FSX equivalency but with more licensing requirements” position that versions 1.x occupied. The changes include DX11 rendering functionality, SimDirector,  specific military training features, plus new content including aircraft from IRIS, Carenado, Alabeo, Dino Cattaneo/India Iindia Alpha Foxtrot Echo, plus more. Most existing add-ons compatible with P3D will continue to be.
