Some people only buy stuff when it has written ‘Made in the USA’, ‘Made in EU’ or similar text on it, provided there is any text at all. I might understand people supporting this for cars, washing machines or children’s toys in order to support local business.
As our “business” is truly international and internet based I don’t know why one should pay attention to the location of development team. For me quality, support, etc. counts and not where the developer is from. In fact most designer teams are international as well.
