The 2009 simFlight Awards Results

The Annual simFlight Awards Ceremony has taken place once more in Paderborn, home of Aerosoft GmbH who hosts the German Flightsim Conference at Paderborn Airport every year.

As has become ‘tradition’ already, Francois Dumas handed out the awards, assisted by the owner of simFlight, Miguel Blaufuks. You can read who WON the various awards by clicking here. But apart from the winners, of which some were pretty obvious from the start, there were a few other interesting remarks made during the ceremony. Such as the fact that for Helicopters and Panels, Gauges and Sounds only 50% or even LESS of the readers voted. So clearly a niche market within the FS niche market!
Also noteworthy were the categories of General Aviation, Military/Vintage, Major Airport and FS Tools. They all scored less than 2/3 of interest by the readers.

All the other categories had at least 75% scores and seem hence more interesting for developers.

All in all another worthy list of winners we think, showing that FS is not dead yet by any measure !
